Create and Publish Events

Build a publish-ready event, pass the checklist, and launch with the right visibility and deadline controls.

1. Start the draft in the correct workspace

Open /dashboard/events/new, confirm the hosting workspace, and create the draft under the brand or personal studio that should own revenue, payouts, and public URLs.

Choose up to the allowed category set for your release config, set a real title, and review the generated slug before you share anything externally.

2. Complete the publish requirements

A publish-ready event needs a strong title, a description of at least 260 characters, a cover image, and either a real schedule or a deliberate flexible state such as date_tbd or open-ticket behavior.

Select In-Person, Virtual, or Hybrid. Virtual and hybrid events run on Cammonly Live, so the schedule, ticket setup, and hosting mode must line up before publish.

Checklist

  • - Cover image uploaded
  • - Description clears 260 characters
  • - Schedule, date_tbd, or open-ticket state is intentionally set
  • - At least one ticket tier exists with valid price and capacity

3. Configure access and launch mechanics

Choose the right visibility: Public for open discovery, Followers Only to reward your audience, or Private with invite-only controls when distribution must stay tight.

Then set the ticket reservation goal and choose a supported sales window of 15, 30, 45, 60, or 90 days. Paid events also require Stripe Connect readiness before publish.

4. Use the publish checklist instead of guessing

Open the publish checklist from the event workflow and treat it as the source of truth. The checklist routes missing items to the exact step that must be fixed before the event can go live.

After publish, return to /dashboard/events and the event dashboard to monitor reservations, deadline pressure, live status, and downstream operations like promotions or attendee comms.
